About Me

I grew up in Brunswick County, and graduated from South Brunswick High School. I am from a multi-generational community here in Brunswick County, so I have deep roots. I was a small business owner and went into Law Enforcement. While being a LEO, I enjoyed getting out with the folks in the community learning about their situations.

I then went to the International Longshoremen Association, where I am on the Executive Board, I’m the vice chair and the recording secretary. I have the leadership skills to make tough decisions and to know I’m there for the members of ILA. I gave my word that if they could not get in contact with the president or VP, they can contact me about their grievance. I kept my word with my union members and non-union members.

One of the reasons why I got into this race is due to the fact that my daughters have less rights than their grandmothers and aunts, and the extremists are slowly taking more of our rights away. So…

I believe We must become a coalition for everyday folks; “WE, the PEOPLE!” Together, we can create greater prosperity for working people. Together, we can restore women’s freedom rights and protect voting rights. Together, WE the People can defend our democracy in North Carolina.

The time for action is now! We can no longer stand by and watch our rights, opportunities, and freedoms getting stripped away by power hungry extremists. We the People must mobilize, organize, and VOTE if we want change! WE the People must work harder than we’ve ever worked before to make our dreams of a better day a reality.
